For Potential Clients and Partners
Must See For Any Potential New Client
I know you read this blog because you want to know what it is like to work in the pr industry. And I know I promised not to talk. But who knew potential business partnerships out there would start reading this also?
So if I may digress for one posting?
Just so we start off on the right track. We actually know what we are doing the day you hire us. And we’re often brilliant in retrospect. But sometimes in between. Well…you act like you just may know more about PR? You know what the press will want more than we do? And your next door neighbor may weigh in.
Just look in the press rooms of our partners and clients. We like to do our jobs. Do what we are best at. Done effectively for almost 30 years. Let us! You can skip the history, the awards, the books, the press, the brand name dropping and the moxie and just look at the last six months. Anytime.
And for the majority of people who have already been following this blog because you want to know what it’s like to work in this industry. Watch this video and be prepared to articulate why your strategy is the best path. Otherwise, be prepared to re-invent the wheel. Or the stop sign as the video shows. Maybe it shouldn’t have been red?

I knew you couldn’t keep quiet on your own company blog. But amen to you for this video. Now we can show every client and tell them it’s just one crazy pr guys opinion, not ours.
Another amen from me. So we all do have the same life huh? Not just every agency I work at.
Are you nuts? Just suck it up and deal with it. You may have more business than you know what to do with. I’ll deal with the client who wants to change the stop sign 52 times any day.
William-you sound very brave. Love to not pay you for your opinion if you’re just agreeing with me to get another month of retainer. Great video Eric. Point well taken.
Yaverbaum-
You sound like your wonderful grouchy self. Miss that direct no nonsense “tude” of yours. And I love this video for a million and one obvious reasons. How can I get a call scheduled with you? You’re harder to get on the phone than the President (and I know!).

Oh how we’ve missed you here! Was the video about us? Hilarious. You are revered in retrospect forever more at the corporate head office.
Priceless. Hilarious. Point well taken.
“Moxie” always seems to be in the equation with you. I pity your poor wife. But this video is hysterical. Superb point made here. We’d change the stop sign 24/7 or until an early retirement to appease the client who is only wasting their money. But I have to disagree with the color of the stop sign. We should do a focus group on that.
You haven’t changed in twenty years. Love it. That’s why I respected you when we were your client…and when I jumped ship to work for you before you dropped off the radar. Allison forwarded me the link to your blog. Glad to have found you. And completely amused by all you have done. Your continual string of successes is a surprise to none of us. While you always seem to get a mixed reaction to your work, we all know it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. Don’t worry, we’ll keep it a secret. Is Jon still with you?
Great video. I work on the client side and we proudly take direction from our agency and low and behold, they know what they are doing. Loved your last book. And our marketing department has all read PR For Dummies. Keep up the great work.
That’s very funny. Thanks for sharing.
What happened. I thought you were giving the “keys” to the new generation of your staff so we could hear from them.
That’s a relief to see. Very funny. I’ll be sending to one of my favorite clients. Or maybe you can for me?
I’ll give credit where credit is due. That’s a great find.
Like Mastercard. Priceless.
Amen. That is funny.
CLASSIC.
Bless the person who did that YouTube. My career in a nutshell.
And you seem to controversial to “bless”. If I ever run for President, it would come up.
